Spencer Ground Renovations

At the conclusion of winter sports usage, Spring renovations (seeding and spreading top dressing) on the main Fieldview outfield, to prepare for the cricket season, got underway yesterday.

To ensure we start the season with excellent grass coverage, which will maintain facilities at a high level over the duration of the season and into the Summer holidays, please ensure that if you visit the Club over the Easter period, you DO NOT walk or drag bags across the outfield to the nets or practice on the outfield. Please keep to the perimeter of the outfield, either behind any roped off areas or along the hedge line by the tennis courts or close to the All Weather Pitch.

Main clubhouse front patio extension works also got underway today and should take around ten days to complete. The area being extended will be fenced off throughout the duration of the works although there will be plant, equipment and materials transported along the Fieldview road perimeter boundary of the ground. 
 
Should the clubhouse double door entrance on the patio side need to be closed at any point during the works, clear signage will be displayed and the door to the changing rooms at the end of the corridor will provide additional access to the clubhouse. The entrance by the tennis courts will not be affected.  

All Fieldview access restrictions will be lifted at 3:30 pm on Friday 17th April 2026 to coincide with the first activity of the season, the launch of our new Spencer ONE ‘SEND & Siblings’ disability inclusion Summer sessions.
